3/22/2023 0 Comments Dreams punta cana![]() ![]() these guys keep us coming back and keep us laughing. Breakfast was good and the only minor complaint I have is the bacon is not normal bacon, it's more like canadian bacon and like beef jerky if that makes sense.Įntertainment - what can I say. We really have no complaints about the food at all. Restaurants - We ate at Seaside Grill (delicious steak), Portofino (I had steak, my husband had chicken, both delicious), Himitsu at the teppanyaki table - delicious chicken, beef and rice and at the World Cafe where they have several options. Pool - The pool is one of the best features here, it runs through the entire resort in a lazy river style, it is only about 3 feet deep, there are plenty of floaties (as long as children AND adults don't pile 6-7 of them together at a time and hog them all). We only had turndown service once and just kept the do not disturb card on the rest of our stay, we didn't need it. ![]() The room was made up every day before I returned from the day in the sun. Rooms - Rooms are spacious and nice, just tired. But honestly other than that incident, I didn't feel that they were a bother. It lasted about 15 minutes before Security yelled at them. The one day one of them took their phone and attached it to the speaker at the pool bar near the beach and BLASTED it. I never once felt that they took over or got better service than me, as a matter of fact I didn't see any of them tipping anybody, really a shame even though it is not required, they were running their butts off for them and didn't get a tip at all. There was a group of about 100 people for a birthday party. I will say this is the first time where I noticed they were here over the weekend. I had read on here before that the locals come in and "take over the resort" and that they get service before anybody else. ![]() Definitely helpful for those that have special needs. The one thing that was new this time for us was them taking us to our room with our luggage in a golf cart and again to the lobby with our luggage when we were leaving. The resort is a decent size so it is a bit of a walk from the lobby to the beach, but it's totally doable. We stayed in Room #6212 which overlooked the pool and was right next to the Preferred Club Bar (huge convenience) so this would put us closer to the beach. As I have said in all of my previous posts, the rooms are dated and in need of a face lift, but it really doesn't bother us as we are only in the room to shower and sleep and the bed was very comfortable. My husband and I traveled here for our 10th visit from 11/2-11/9/19. Just about everything you need is included, like toothpaste, an extra comb, sewing kit and sunscreen. Otherwise, the bath products are private label and of high quality. Parents might want to tuck those away right away. The Dreams Resorts are big on incense and the tray of bathroom amenities includes several sticks and a book of matches. The lounge is staffed 24 hours with a concierge, private bartender, snacks and additional Internet access. In addition to a private beach area and no waiting in line at any of the restaurants, the rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi and a selection of movies, video games and traditional board games provided in the private lounge. The elite level of guests at Dreams are members of the Preferred Club. A limited number of suites have private hot tubs on the balconies. Plush bathrobes, slippers and evening turndown service are among the amenities in the suites. Neither is there a charge for cribs in the junior suites, which have delightful walk-in closets. The deluxe rooms offer a shower/tub combo in the bathroom and either one king or two double beds. Flat-screen TVs are accompanied by DVD players. Each room includes a mini-fridge stocked every day with bottled water, soft drinks and a few snacks, such as chips and candy bars free of charge. All rooms include a balcony or private patio. This spacious property, complete with flamingo pond, has 620 deluxe rooms and 106 junior suites in 10 buildings of no more than three floors that follow the flow of the pool that meanders throughout the property. ![]()
